Walther 1.5x4.5x32 Air Rifle Scope
Over the years, I have destroyed many scopes by using them on a break barrel air rifle. Some were springer rated and still failed and some were not.

It's the "Negative" recoil, or ambidirectional nature of break barrel springers that literally destroy scopes. Even some expensive name brand scopes, if not specifically designed to withstand the negative recoil, will fall prey over time. It was this feature that led me to try the Walther  1.5x4.5x32  Air rifle scope, along with the outstanding special sale price.

Product was shipped in a sturdy, padded cardboard box with the scope inside a heavy duty blister pack, rings included. Basic instructions included, & rings (although inexpensive) they had a stop pin. I elected to use a one peice mount I already had to attach the scope to my Crosman Summet Ranger II. This nitro pistion 2 rifle has a significant recoil in 22cal. and has already taken 2 other scopes to the bone yard.

Initial install was uneventfull using the one peice mount and stop pin. After several minutes of test firing and adjustments, I zeroed the scope @ 25 yards. I was able to keep 5 shot groups within a dime. The glass appeared clear and the adjustment clicks were solid and audible.

For a 69 year old guy with diminishing eyesight, this scope provided enough magnification and clairty to hit a dime at 25 yards with a springer. Well suited for my pesting needs. The sale price was a bonus. I will buy another one to replace the cheap plastic scope that was part of a package deal I reciently got.

Walther 1.5x4.5x32 "Scope out this deal"
The Walther 1.5x4.5x32 air rifle scope is a solid low power scope at a bargain price. I purchased 3 of these scopes on sale to use on my break barrel guns, because they are air gun rated & constructed to handle the negative recoil. They are fairly compact and relatively light weight. The included rings are usable but not my first choice.

The glass is much better than the price would indicate, and the reticle is basic but functional. The thickened edge of the horizontal and bottom cross hairs aid in spotting the thinner center against a busy background. From a pratical standpoint my main use of these scopes will be from 10 to 35 yards. This range removes the need for mildots or hashmarks, in my situation.

Although they have a fixed paralax, they can be easily altered by unscrewing the outer locking ring and adjusting the front objective. I have used these scopes for about a month and so far they have held zero. For a "price vs value" rating I give it 5 stars. As always your milage may vary.
