This PPK/S spring Airsoft pistol is, to my knowledge, the only PPK/S replica currently in production for the Airsoft market. There have been others in the past, and I do hope Umarex will consider a gas blow back version in the future as none are currently in production or available in the USA except on the used market. That being said, this kit is a great value for the price. It meets my current needs in an Airsoft pistol: spring powered, soft shooting, and good quality. I use this for backyard battles with my son, and anything more powerful causes too much pain for him, and can potentially damage our neighbors property, so the fact that this shoots so softly is wonderful! There are not many spring pistols in production right now that shoot in the low FPS range (150-180FPS). And most that do are cheap junk. So this pistol is really a diamond in the rough. The trend is that most spring pistols are getting harder and harder hitting, competing with green gas and CO2 pistols in the 300FPS range, and that is just too much power for what I need or want. The attention to detail with this model is up to Umarex’s usual high standards. Everything that needs to be metal is, and the plastic is a satisfying tough, high quality polymer, not cheap, brittle junk. The fact that 2 magazines are included is great. And the fact that one mag is the more concealed version with flat bottom, and one has the more comfortable pinky rest is exactly how the real steel version is provided. Attention to detail indeed! The suppressor threads on nicely and is in perfect alignment with the slide/barrel. I would caution to be careful not to drop or bump the pistol when the suppressor is attached as the threads are only plastic and could potentially break. The slide mechanism was a bit stiff and not super smooth for the first few hundred rounds or so, but has smoothed out significantly with use. I highly recommend this pistol if you are a PPK/S fan or simply looking for an Airsoft gun to use with younger kids who may find more powerful guns just too painful when shot.
